Happy New Year... my last card this year

Hello crafters in this last day of 2016.

I bet you all have plans and looking forward to tonight.
I had a bit of time and wanted to make my last card this year with the stamp I had for a while but never got to use it..
I used 7x7 white base card.

It is a beautiful Lily stamp. I used my sparkle pen to colour the lily, pity you cannot see that on the photo.

I used distressed ink to create the shading on the edges.  I matted and layered the picture on grey card and again on gold mirri card.

I used masking technique to stamp the words behind the Lily.

I think it a lovely change from all the Christmas cards i was recently making.

The colours make me think of Spring and look forward to 2017.

Have a fantastic 2017 everyone,

Morning crafters...

2016 has been a good year for me as a crafter... I have learnt so many new techniques and started my DT job with Hunkydory 's stamp collection.... DT was and is a challenge as I was  not experienced in a picture/build a story stamping... but I was given a chance and I am greatful...next time I will share with you all my favorites from my DT samples but today just want to stay with a Christmas theme...

Above you see one of my Christmas cards this year.... all Christmas trees are stamped... gold one is heat embossed... and all matted and layered ... for a glitter border I used double sided adhesive and sprinkled with blue glitter. It is a great way of creating borders and saving as you only use a strip size of that not a full card...

This is my favorite from last year cards... I love the die cut baubles that I foam padded back in a center of the card with silver mirri backing... the Christmas wreath die cut was dismantled and placed around bauble. I added some glitter snowflakes and white corners...  hope you like that....

Have a great last few days of 2016...

two same/different cards

Hello ...
Happy Saturday all,

I just wanted to share two cards .... very similar in design...
In this one I used 6x6 card where I cut a front in three parts... middle panel will be used in different card.
I matted and layered the top and bottom panel.
On the front panel I embossed the background and arranged die cuts flowers and leaves...
Added sentiment....

In this version I used the same embossed paper and die cut flowers...

I only added distressed ink on edges ....

With this little difference I created two different cards...
 Which one do you prefer?

I can't decide...

Hugs x

DT Samples

Hi all,
I just wanted to share with you some more samples for the latest collection 'For the love of Stamps'.

They sold out on C&C channel so quickly I did not even have a chance to put my cards on the blog. In this card I used delight dahlias stamps and stencil mask to create the background.

This is another card made using the same stamps. I masked the square and stamped dahlias. I used sparkle pens to colour them, add distress ink on edges.

This time I cut out the stamped dahlias and leaves and layered them using 3D silicon glue which give you nice lift and 3D effect.

I love these stamps, they are really good quality.

So much fun ... enjoy

For the love of Stamps

Good Morning all,

This my card I made with the new collection 'For the love of stamp' by Hunkydory.

I created the background by stamping small balloon, I used distressed ink for color.
LOVE letters come from the coordinating stencil mask.

I am not surprised they sold out so quickly, such fun working with those stamps.

This is another sample I made using the stamp set.
The background is created using distressed inks.
The girl and the boys are from the set. I made girl flying and attached the love balloons. I think they are so cute.
I also used stencil mask for the hearts and clouds.

Have fun with stamps and enjoy...
there are so many different styles and techniques you can use...

Notebook - lovely gift

It used to be a simple notebook.... nothing special... until I got my hands on some Imagination craft starlight paint....
I dabbed starlight paint through the stencil. The sparkle is incredible, specially on the black card stock...

I used the metal book corners, smudged them with pink wax. There are so easy to add , just  squeeze them into the corners of the card stock.

For a bit of 3D effect I cut out few butterflies from the black card.

Added a matching ribbon.

Enjoy

Starting my blog

Hello everybody...

Honestly I don't know what I am doing yet.... I decided to start a craft blog to share my love and passion for craft and 'me time'.
Trying to work out how the blog works, how to post anything and add photos...
if anyone can help I will be more than grateful...
If not bear with me till I work it out :)

 Crafting love and hugs...

This is my one of my favorite Christmas card I made this year....
I have used double sided adhesive sheet on the black card. I place the stencil over the adhesive...
To make sure my stencil will not stick to the adhesive sheet I used clear embossing ink on the back of the stencil...
Then I used gilding flakes over the stencil.... I rubbed them in.
When I removed my stencil I had sticky places left so I used transparent glitter to cover them...
And that was my background done....
I love the look of this background....it wants you to touch it... some said it looks like woolly  jumper....

Hope you like it...as much as me...
